So what's been happening?

It has been a very busy few months. My lovely mother in law Hazel was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen and non Hodgekins lymphoma just before Christmas. She has been having chemotherapy and has been terribly unwell but she is remarkably resilient and brave. Unfortunately not long after her  last course of chemotherapy she had a fall and broke her hip so has just come out of hospital after a hip replacement.

Sebastian has had his 16th birthday and has been busy revising for his exams. Well I have been busy making revision cards and revising with him. I think I have worked far harder for his GCSE exams than I ever worked for my own.

Nathaniel had his 5th birthday and enjoyed a very fun dinosaur party with all his friends.

My wonderful husband David has turned 50. I like to tease him and ask what it feels like to be a man in his fifties married to a wife in her thirties but I will be 40 in October so big birthdays for both of us this year. We had the family over to celebrate but are hoping to organise a joint party in the summer.

During the Easter holidays we waved our youngest son off on holiday with his grandparents. They took him to Spain for a week so I could focus on helping Seb to revise for the last week of the Easter holidays.

While Nat was away we decorated his bedroom and replaced his toddler bed with a big boy bed that has a pull out guest bed underneath so he can have friends over for a sleepover.

Oh and the Tortoise came out of hibernation too.

Five more weeks until exams finish and I can get my life back and start enjoying a long fun-filled summer!
