Valentines Day and 2000 page views

Thursday was Valentines Day and my blog hit it's 2000th page view!

The day started nicely with a lovely card and valentine gift from my wonderful husband David.  He knows me so well and had bought me a lovely Suspended Heart frame.  Now I just need to find the perfect picture to put in it - perhaps one of the two of us!

It was a fun start to the morning as my neighbour Nia had invited me along to a music group that she attends in Hove. As I wasn't working for a change it was nice to be able to go along and sing silly songs with Nathaniel.

We popped back home for lunch and Nat had a short nap before the two of us caught the bus into Brighton for his swimming lesson at Little Dippers.

The swimming pool is custom made for swimming lessons for babies and toddlers so it is a small pool and really warm - just like stepping into a hot bath.

It was lovely to see Nat swimming around with his 'jet pack' of floats on his back.  He was so desperate to get a blue plastic duck off the side of the pool that he hadn't noticed that I had let go of him and he swam quite a way by himself.

We had a bit of a walk back to the bus stop and unfortunately we must have just missed our bus as the sign said the next one  would not be for another 48 minutes.  There was another bus going towards Seb's school so we caught that one instead.  We got off to start the long walk home (uphill) and we had to walk really slowly, as by this time Nat's little legs were really tired.  Then of course it started to rain so we got absolutely drenched too!  The only way I could keep him walking was to pretend we were playing Fireman Sam and that we needed to rush around each corner to find the next fire to put out with our imaginary hoses!!

Got home tired, wet and cold.  Nat snuggled on the sofa to watch a film and I ran myself a hot bubble bath - lovely!

When David came home he brought an Indian takeway with him and we had a nice relaxing evening - perfect!
