A little boy with pink hair

David and I were busy upstairs sorting out clothes to put the summer wardrobe back in the loft to make room for the winter wardrobe.

The boys were downstairs watching television  . . . . or so we thought!

A sudden shout from Sebastian . . .

"Mum, Nat has got something red all over his head"

My heart suddenly starts pounding as I race down the stairs and ask myself  what he might have gotten hold of.

What can he have possibly put all over his head?

What have we even got that is red?

I find one small boy hiding in the conservatory with a red face and a slicked back, greasy head covered in pinkish gunk.

I crouch down and ask Nat what he has put on his head and he just grins at me.

I notice a distinct smell of strawberries . . . and then I realise . . . . didn't I leave a little tin of Vaseline Rosy lips, lip gloss sitting on the shelf in the hall?

Yes thats right, my little two year old has found my lip gloss and has smeared it all over his face and his hair  . . .

and looking round the house, there is lip gloss all over the conservatory windows, in and outside of my dollshouse, up the wall, over every door handle and all over the leather sofa.

I scoop one naughty little boy up and carry him upstairs for a bath.

Twenty minutes later and unfortunately I am distressed to find that all the bubble bath, baby shampoo and adult shampoo has not been able to shift the horrible pink sheen that Nat has on his hair.

All Nat's lovely white blonde locks are now a horrid pink colour.

Sebastian thinks it is hilarious.

David thinks you can hardly notice it.

Believe me, you can notice it.  And just what are people going to think when they see him?

I really hope that no-one thinks I have deliberately dyed his hair pink.

I wonder for how long we could avoid going out and how many baths it might take for the pink to fade????
